People’s Champ Meets The US President and Wishes Donaire Good Luck

Thrilled to finally meet US President Barack Obama, people’s champ and representative Manny Pacquiao expressed gratitude and contentment to finally come face to face with the most powerful man on Earth. The US President was therefore also thrilled to rub elbows with the world champion who bravely brought honor and pride to his beloved Philippines through the years. The boxing champ and US leader met after the Pacquiao vs. Mosley US promo tour, courtesy of US Senator Harry Reid, They had lunch together with wife Jinky and US Vice-President Joe Biden. For the record, surprisingly, no other world boxing champion was invited to have lunch and shake hands with the president, in this case, in the White House. It was also reported that as a token of gratitude, the White House gave Manny chocolates and a one-of-a-kind wrist watch with US President Seal. In an interview, Manny Pacquiao said that Pres. Obama promised to watch the Pacquiao vs. Mosley thru PPV.

On the other hand, several days into the bantamweight championship match of Nonito Donaire, otherwise known as the “next Pacquiao” and Fernando Montiel, Manny wishes his fellow champion good luck and regards, adding that he and the Filipino people will support him in his fight and are already proud of the honor that Donaire brings to the country. There is still no confirmation yet from Rep. Pacquiao’s camp if he’ll be watching the fight live, but one thing’s for sure, he’ll be there via PPV or simply be there to support Donaire all the way.
